BURSARY PAYMENT UPDATE

I was in Asaba 2days ago and yesterday as touching the issues of bursary payment of students.
The bursary board reaffirmed to go back for physical verification after the long meeting the National executives had with them to stop the physical verification.
I Went to meet with the board chairman to let him know that most students of general academic calendar are done with their exams so most student have gone back to their respective permanent residence.
I gave him modules on how they can manage the students and pay them because we are given to serve the students better.
The board chairman accepted the modules as he promised me that he would try all his possible best to make it happen.
He also told me that he would be meeting with the Governor today as touching the issue that after the meeting he would let me know that next phase.
I just called him this evening, and he told me that His Excellency haven understood our reasons and plights, has ordered the board to commence payment disregarding the physical verifications due to the reasons I gave to him and he has told me that the only people that might experience delay in payment would be students of Delta State University Abraka.
IN ALL THESE, WE ARE GIVEN TO SERVE THE STUDENTS BETTER
For more information, any school that is having issues as regard their bursary payment should quickly report as urgent steps would be taken to ensure their payments.
